New Horizon is a comprehensive staff secure residential treatment facility in Southeastern Ohio for males 11 to 18 years of age.
New Horizon Youth Center is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. New Horizon has an affiliate agency, North Point Consulting and Behavioral Health Services, which provides both psychiatric treatment and drug and alcohol treatment.
In mid-2014, The Village Network, a leading behavioral and mental health agency serving youth, acquired New Horizon Youth Center and North Point Consulting & Behavioral Health Services in Belmont County, Ohio.
New Horizon is a residential treatment facility, while North Point provides a comprehensive outpatient mental health and drug and alcohol system that works in partnership with the consumer and the community to improve the quality of life and reduce the effects of mental illness, addiction and trauma on children, adolescents, adults and families.
The Village Network believes that individuals challenged with mental/behavioral issues have the greatest chance of sustained recovery when they receive comprehensive clinical services; obtain trauma-informed care; have safe and affordable housing; and are gainfully employed. Hence, this acquisition will have a profound impact on the communities served in the Ohio Valley.
Richard Graziano, president and chief executive officer of The Village Network, said, “Our mission is to work in partnerships with communities to develop supportive, caring relationships and build brighter futures for children and families. New Horizon’s values and services are a good fit with our mission. By integrating New Horizon and North Point into The Village Network, we will not only strengthen our core services, but provide a full array of clinical outpatient services and bring treatment foster care programs to the Ohio Valley.”
